Serve with Us

We believe that God’s people flourish most when we worship Him using the gifts He has given us.  At Holy Spirit Anglican Church, you are welcome and encouraged to use your strengths and passions – whether they be logistical, creative or pastoral – to serve God and to strengthen the ministry of His Church.

The church, called the Body of Christ by the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 12, has been equipped by God with a variety of gifts.  All of these gifts are used to help the body do what it needs to do, which is to bear witness to Christ in word and deed.  The ministries below offer each of us the chance to work alongside others so that Holy Spirit Anglican Church might grow further in faithfulness to accomplish God's purposes for us.  Some of the ministries may require additional training or steps, but feel free to explore and inquire how God is calling you to help us be whom He is calling us to be.

Greeter & Usher Team

The Greeter/Usher Team is a wonderful place to start.  Each week, two ushers work together to greet members and visitors as they arrive, and assist other leaders in a few ways throughout the service.  This role is key to making sure that each individual who walks through our doors feels welcomed and wanted.

Eucharistic Minister

Holy Communion is where we are most intimately met by God.  While only a priest can bless the bread and wine, we love for all believers to be represented at the Table.  Men and women of faith are welcome and encouraged to participate in this act of service and union by administering the sacraments.

Children's Ministry

Teach, befriend, and learn with our children (ages 0-7) during Sunday School.  Our curriculum provides teachers and students with both structure and creative freedom as we worship God with song, craft, and story.  Our goal is to work with parents to equip them as the primary disciplers of their children.

Healing Prayer Team

We believe that God can and does heal today.  Join our team of trained prayer ministers to pray with individuals during our service every week.  To equip you in this ministry, you will receive training from the international Order of St. Luke the Physician.

Setup & Cleanup Team

We believe that the physical space we use to worship God matters.  Our setup and clean up teams ensure that our church sanctuary and fellowship areas are taken care of.  It is a wonderful ministry of hospitality.

Scripture Readers

In every service we listen to four readings from Scripture, assigned in our yearly schedule of readings.  Our readers read aloud two of these passages: one from the Old Testament and one from the New Testament.
