About the event
ALL are invited + encouraged to attend!
Here are the details:
What: A fun fair complete with snacks, jump house, games, crafts, and a time of prayer
When: Saturday, August 3rd| 1pm – 4pm
Where: DCBC Lower Lot and Playground
Who: HSAC Church Family + SDRM Mission Academy Residents
Why: An opportunity to minister to and interact with those who work and live at the San Diego Rescue Mission
How to support / get involved:
(1) PRAY! Pray for those experiencing homelessness in San Diego. Pray for those at the SDRM trying to share God’s love with those experiencing homeless. Pray for this event to generate opportunities to build trust and share the love of God with those who are feeling particularly vulnerable and broken in this season of their lives.
(2) PARTICIPATE! Attend the event and interact with our guests from the mission.
(3) PROVIDE! Provide your time – join a team and serve at this event – we need people to help setup, cleanup, and run various activities as well as people to welcome the guests. Provide a loan of your items from home – we need to borrow popup shade tents, lawn games, and more! Provide store bought items – we are in need of refreshments and supplies. Provide a monetary gift to help offset the costs to be incurred at this event (in renting a jump house, in supplying items we do not get loaned, and more). Please note, giving can be done via offering plate or PO Box (please indicate on memo -- SDRM Fun Fair) OR can via Online Giving (select 'SDRM Fun Fair Support' as the fund).
