“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness…(Galatians 5:22). Joy is one of the signs that the Holy Spirit is working in our lives. Joy is also one of the major themes of the New Testament letter to the Philippians. Over four weeks we will be looking at this letter to discover both the source of and reasons for Christian joy.

Although these ancient stories took place between 2000 and 1400 BC, they still speak to us today about our relationship with the God of the Bible. This summer we will be looking closely at twelve of these stories in a sermon series “Something Old, Something New.”

The recent movie Hereafter raises a question we all ask sooner or later: “What happens when we die?” Unfortunately, the movie gives some highly unsatisfactory answers to this question.
